A central dashboard was created to unify gold loan management and digital gold investment, enabling seamless doorstep service booking and portfolio tracking in a single app.

A foundational information architecture was mapped to logically structure all loan services, user support, and account management features, creating the blueprint for an intuitive and unified user experience.

We conducted user interviews and competitor analysis to build test scenarios. Users performed specific tasks, allowing us to identify key opportunities to refine and improve the overall journey.

We developed wireframes to architect a fully functional website, ensuring a seamless and intuitive structure that aligns with the mobile app for a unified experience across all platforms.

A consistent visual design system was implemented across the fully functional website, extending the mobile app's language to deliver a seamless and intuitive experience on every platform.

These mobile wireframes structure the core user journey - from viewing gold holdings and applying for a new loan to managing pledged ornaments - into a single, intuitive flow, establishing the blueprint for the unified app experience.

A professional and trustworthy visual language was applied to the mobile wireframes, using a clear color palette, typography, and icons to create an intuitive and reassuring interface for managing loans and gold.

FAQs

What problem did the ONE Muthoot app solve?
plus iconminus icon

Muthoot Finance customers previously had to use three separate portals for loans, cards, and insurance. NetBramha consolidated all three into ONE Muthoot, a single unified app, for the world's largest gold loan NBFC.

Muthoot Finance was established in 1939 and operates 4,600+ branches, so this wasn't a startup building its first product - it was reconciling decades of separately built systems into one coherent customer experience without losing functionality any of the three original portals depended on.

Why is consolidating three portals into one app harder than building a single new app?
plus iconminus icon

Each of the three original systems had its own data model, its own user assumptions, and its own edge cases built up over years. Merging them meant resolving conflicts between systems, not designing on a clean slate.

NetBramha faced a related but distinct challenge with Yubi, which required designing one platform to handle an entire debt lifecycle end-to-end rather than merging pre-existing separate systems - both are consolidation problems, solved differently.

How does ONE Muthoot compare to other Indian lending platforms NetBramha has designed?
plus iconminus icon

Gold loans are a distinct lending category from Yubi's corporate debt marketplace or TransUnion CIBIL's credit reporting - collateral-backed, high-frequency, and serving a customer base that often has limited access to formal banking.

That customer profile made ONE Muthoot's design brief closer to BHIM's first-time-user constraint than to a typical banking app redesign: clarity and trust mattered more than feature depth.

What is Muthoot Finance's scale, and why does it matter for this case study?
plus iconminus icon

Muthoot Finance is the world's largest gold loan company, founded in 1939, with 4,600+ branches and daily service to hundreds of thousands of customers - a scale that makes any UX decision in the app consequential for a very large, often underbanked population.

That combination of scale and financial-inclusion stakes puts ONE Muthoot in the same tier of consequential design work as BHIM, even though the two products serve entirely different financial needs.

Does NetBramha design for NBFCs specifically, or just traditional banks?
plus iconminus icon

NetBramha's lending portfolio spans traditional banking (HDFC Bank), NBFC gold loans (ONE Muthoot), corporate debt marketplaces ( Yubi), and agricultural lending (Ninjacart) - the common thread is designing trust into a financial transaction, not any one specific institution type.
