FAQs

What is Festivals From India, and what did NetBramha design?
plus iconminus icon

Festivals From India is a cultural discovery platform covering 1,500+ documented Indian festivals across 29 states, built to connect UK and international audiences with Indian culture, as well as diaspora Indians reconnecting with traditions from home.

The UK–India connect angle makes this one of NetBramha's genuinely international consumer-facing projects, distinct from most of its portfolio, which is built primarily for a domestic Indian audience even when the client itself is a multinational, like SIXT.

What was the core information-architecture challenge on this project?
plus iconminus icon

Structuring 1,500+ festivals across 29 states into something explorable rather than overwhelming required a content architecture that could support browsing by region, season, tradition, or theme without any single navigation path feeling like the "correct" one.

That scale of content organisation is closer to a media or publishing information-architecture problem than a typical transactional app; it shares more in common with Prajavani's news platform or Oxford University Press's publishing platform than with NetBramha's fintech or e-commerce work.

Who is Festivals From India actually built for?
plus iconminus icon

Two distinct audiences share the platform: international and UK-based users discovering Indian culture for the first time, and diaspora Indians looking to reconnect with specific regional festivals and traditions they already know.

Designing one interface that serves a complete newcomer and a nostalgic expert simultaneously is a recurring NetBramha challenge - the same first-time-versus-experienced-user tension shaped Geojit's trading platform, even though the subject matter (culture versus finance) couldn't be more different.

How does this project reflect NetBramha's range beyond fintech and enterprise SaaS?
plus iconminus icon

NetBramha's portfolio skews heavily toward BFSI and enterprise software, which makes Festivals From India a useful counter-example: a content-led, culture-first, emotionally driven consumer platform with no transaction or conversion funnel at its core.

It's the clearest evidence in the portfolio that NetBramha's process holds up outside transactional software entirely, closer in spirit to editorial and media design than to anything in its BFSI or enterprise SaaS work like Gyaan.ai or Cymorg.

Is Festivals From India a commercial product, or a cultural initiative?
plus iconminus icon

It sits closer to a cultural and cross-border connection initiative than a typical commercial SaaS or e-commerce product, which changed the design brief: success is measured in engagement and discovery depth, not conversion rate or transaction volume.

That's a genuinely different success metric than almost everything else in NetBramha's portfolio, where outcomes like BHIM's 3× transaction growth or Razorpay Magic's conversion lift are the standard measure of success.
